The shallow herringbone pattern on the Adidas Approach rubber soles enables great traction on grass, as they provide grip by locking with the grass. Often, the outsoles are covered with dirt and grass, but these outsoles hardly collect any.

These shoes are quite basic looking, but don’t let the looks fool you. The shoes are made with breathable mesh material, which lets your feet breathe with air, so you don’t feel super funky during and after tennis.

Moving on inside the shoe, the forefoot is cushioned, especially from the toes, so sudden stops on the court won’t hurt your toes. Also, the EVA midsole provides shock absorption and great cushioning on the heels and midfoot.

These shoes are great for grass-court, thanks to the well-designed herringbone pattern, but as they are without pimples that some grass-court shoes have, you can use them in other courts as well.
