MY ATHLETE STORY
When I first got excited about racket sports, I was 12- years old in the nearby community center in Finland. I took a table tennis racket into my hand, which was it for me; I was hooked!. At this point, I had no former experience in racket sports. However, I have an experience in ice hockey, baseball, soccer, badminton, basketball, and much more!
Anyways, as the months went by, I was getting better and better, and I eventually got my own table tennis rackets to practice with. I had never before felt such passion.
I grew up within walking distance from the community center; therefore, I attended many friendly city-wise tournaments between different community centers. Each one had 3 ”champions” that battled against other teams. I had two friends, and whit them, we ruled the city-wise tournaments for two or three years, which is quite exciting when looking back at the time.
A while after playing table tennis, I tried other racket sports as well, and today, my absolute favorites are table tennis, obviously, but badminton as well.
This website began as a small table tennis site; however, as a multi-sport athlete and with my passion for other sports, it has grown to be a comprehensive resource for athletes from various sports categories.
MY PERSONAL LIFE
Besides sports, there is more to me than that, even when I love to immerse myself in sports for hours. Nowadays, when I do sports, I spend most of my time at the gym working out, but my mind is constantly occupied with all kinds of sports through this website.
I also work as a digital marketing specialist at Buorre. My tasks include search engine optimization, advertising, client management, and much more!
If I had to say something that isn’t sports-related, that would be my love for cooking and food. I have a degree as a professional chef, and I’m a free-time foodie too. I like to cook and, even more, to eat!
Traveling is another one that my girlfriend and I adore, and I’m not talking about booking a 5-star hotel and staying there, even if there’s nothing wrong with that. We love to travel those not-so-commonly seen cities and routes, see the real culture behind the media, taste the local foods and maybe inquire about the recipes to try at home.
This site is the final interest I’ll share, and I can’t just keep my hands off these days. I’m working hard every day on it so people can get the answers to the common and not-so-common questions about sports, and some excellent answers are tough to find on the internet. Hence, I want to be there for people that share my passion for and knowledge about sports.
I love learning new things. I’m certain that life has yet something unexpected to offer, and I’m excited to see what that might be! All in all, that’s me!
